Rugby Tour to Dublin - clubs & schools

Smile Group Travel is delighted to offer rugby tours to the famous Irish capital, catering for clubs and school groups of all ages and abilities.

Dublin is one of the great destinations for a rugby tour and Smile have been taking schools and clubs to the Irish capital since 2011.

We have an abundance of experience organising and delivery top-quality trips to a buzzing city with a rugby-mad poupulation.

The most convivial of tours, apart from the matches!

Why should my club or school go on rugby tour to Dublin?

Dublin is a short flight from a number of UK airports: wheels are up for less than an hour.

Ireland has a rich and passionate rugby heritage, and the sport is one of the staples of Irish culture. The local rugby scene is considerable, allowing for opposition of all sorts of standards.

What is there to do away from the rugby?

There's good reason why Dublin is a favourite long weekend haunt of many Brits.

The city has vast historical significance, and there are plenty of museums, walking tours and historical attractions which tell the tale of the its evolution over time.

Take a stroll through spectacular Trinity College to visit the Book of Kells, explore the architecture around Dublin with an amphibious tour, and stop by the old General Post Office to witness the bullet holes which still exist from the 1916 Easter Rising.

Once you're all history-ed out, take a break and listen to authentic Irish music at one of the dozens of old drinking holes that litter the city, and sample the buzz of Temple Bar.

And don't forget to check the match calendar to see whether there is any live sport to take in at the Aviva Stadium or Croke Park.

In Dublin, there is always one more thing to do or see.

What's it like going on rugby tour to Dublin with Smile?

"The boys had two great fixtures against tough opposition. They were hosted in true Irish style! The hotel was perfect for what the boys needed, we were very well looked after. Many thanks to Smile for giving the boys their first opportunity at recognising what is involved in a rugby tour!"
