CBH Cup

Cricket in Rwanda
The Cricket Builds Hope Cup (Rwanda Cricket Invitational) is a unique cricket experience that brings teams together for competitive fixtures, incredible wildlife and the opportunity to contribute to the growing game of cricket in Rwanda.

Cricket in Rwanda is a growing sport, with Cricket Builds Hope (CBH) having played a significant role in its growth. Through its work in Rwanda, CBH has helped create opportunities for more people to engage with cricket and expand access to the game across the country. Founded in memory of the late British businessman Christopher Shale in 2011, the charity helped raise funds for the construction of the Gahanga Cricket Stadium, the country’s first international-standard cricket ground, which opened in 2017. Today, the stadium is one of the leading venues for T20 international cricket in the world.
From grassroots programmes introducing young players to the game, to the national teams competing on the international stage, cricket is creating new opportunities for aspiring players. The Cricket Builds Hope Cup (Rwanda Cricket Invitational) offers visiting teams the chance to experience Rwanda’s developing cricket culture first-hand, compete against other teams, support the growth of the game through community activities and contribute to the development of cricket infrastructure across the country.
