Manchester Netball Tour - 7 nights

Experience an exciting 7-night tour in Manchester. This tour features a self-led training session, three friendly fixtures against well-matched local opposition and opportunities to explore.

Off the court, players will discover Manchester on a tour, enjoy shopping at the Trafford Centre and visit the Thunderdome, home of the AO Thunder netball team, to experience the city’s professional netball culture. Players will also get to explore the historic city of Chester and shop at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, bringing together sporting competition, sightseeing and leisure throughout their stay.

Full Itinerary (Example):

DAY 1:                                                         

  • Transfer to Manchester.
  • Arrive in Manchester, where you will be greeted by an expert Smile representative.
  • Transfer to your accommodation and check in.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • Have dinner and enjoy a well-earned rest ahead of the days to come.

DAY 2:

  • Fuel up with breakfast at your accommodation before heading to your first self-led training session at a local sports facility.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or your accommodation (self-arranged).
  • Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
  • Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation after an eventful day on the field.

DAY 3:

  • Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Transfer to your first fixture against well-matched local opposition (MATCH DAY 1).
  • Refuel with a picnic lunch after your fixture.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • Return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing evening.

DAY 4:

  • Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Spend the day on a guided sightseeing tour of Manchester, with time for shopping at the Trafford Centre and a visit to Thunderdome, home of AO Thunder.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (self-arranged).
  • Return to your accommodation for dinner and a well-earned rest.

DAY 5:

  • Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Transfer to your second fixture against well-matched local opposition (MATCH DAY 2).
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch after your fixture.
  • Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation after an eventful day on the field.

DAY 6:

  • Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Transfer to Chester for a day of exploration, including a visit to Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (self-arranged).
  • Return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing evening.

DAY 7:

  • Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation for the day ahead.
  • Transfer to your final fixture against well-matched local opposition (MATCH DAY 3).
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch after your fixture.
  • Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation after an eventful day on the field.

DAY 8:

  • Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Check out of your accommodation.
  • Spend the day at leisure before transferring back to your point of origin under your own arrangements.

Package Includes

  • 7 nights' accommodation at YHA Manchester or similar on a half-board basis.
  • X3 fixtures with well-matched oppositions with X1 self-led training session.
  • Picnic lunch after every fixture.

This tour is based on;
A minimum of 7 nights' on a half-board basis (additional nights are available on request).
A minimum of 20 players in multi-bedded rooms (2 staff FOC in twin room).
Transport: Self-drive – groups are responsible for their own transport to and from matches, training sessions and excursions.
